Admission Process: 4 Steps to Apply for NIAT Counselling

Step 1: Submit the NAT Application Form Online

• Fill out your details in the online application form
• Pay ₹1200 as registration fee (non-refundable)
• Phase-1 NAT is scheduled on January 18th, 2026

Step 2: Take NAT (NxtWave Assessment Test)

NAT is a 90-minute test designed to evaluate your cognitive abilities and potential as a future tech innovator.

Test Format:

Step 3: Appear For Counselling

• Once you qualify for NAT, you'll be invited for a one-on-one counselling session to discuss your goals
• Based on your performance in NAT and preferences expressed in the counselling session, you will be suggested a university collaborating with NIAT that best suits your needs

Step 4: Confirm Your Admission

• Apply to your preferred university where NIAT upskilling program is offered
• The University will process your admission following its established eligibility criteria and admission policies
• The admission is solely at the discretion of the university as per UGC and AICTE norms

Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply?

Academic Requirements:

• Completed 12th grade with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry

Year of Passing:

• Passed out in 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025

Important Note: 12th pass-outs before 2022 are not eligible for admission.
